All states › Tonnage reports › Fee calculator
Tick the states you distribute in, enter the tons you sold there in the reporting period, and see each state's inspection fee: the rate per ton, the minimum fee where one applies, how often the report is due and when. 27 of 31 tonnage states have a verified rate; the rest say so and link to the agency.
Not legal advice. Estimates only. Rates and minimums are quoted from each state's statute, rule or fee page (the source link is in each row) and checked on October 9, 2026. States change rates, some charge different rates for some products, and most states exempt small packages that pay a per-product registration fee instead: read the small-package note in each row and confirm with the agency before you file.
Tons are short tons (2,000 lb). Count only product that the state's tonnage report covers: in most states, packages that pay a per-product fee are left out.
| State | Rate and minimum | How often, due | Fee |

The fee is rate × tons, raised to the minimum where the state has one. Where a state's minimum is per quarter and you file quarterly, the minimum applies to each report.
Who files, how often and the due dates for every state are on the tonnage reports page. Registration and license fees are in the registration fee calculator. The $49 Registration Pack puts every due date for your states on a calendar.
